A pleasant stay in a beautiful setting. Excellent staff and well managed family business. Made to feel so welcome and I really do mean that. I stayed here one night last week. It really is a beautiful building in a very nice setting. My room was comfortable, with an excellent shower in the bathroom. Have just had a short break at West Lodge Park Hotel and it was truely lovely. Its old fashioned in the best way with high standards provided by the staff and catering team. If you want to get away from it all cant think of anywhere better to go. We will certainly return and soon I hope!! more

The staff here were very friendly indeed and very helpful. Food was decent but overpriced i.e £15 for breakfast. And £7.50 for a large rose with dinner... Stayed for one night on business. The room was the biggest I've ever stayed in (and I'm in around ten hotels a month). I was very disappointed with the west lodge park. I was given the Jade room (room 20) and it was like a sauna. The heat was unbearable. Now I know what the fan was for!!! If not for the heat, it may have been ok - the decor is on the shabby side, the bed was ok but the pillows... more
