Spent one night of our Honeymoon there and came home early due to the appalling state of the hotel. We found the hotel using the official Isle of Wight tourist information website. It may have been a very spectacular hotel at one time but it seems to have become very tired and unloved in recent times. We were advised not to use the pool as it was considered to be unsafe, the outside of the hotel was strewn with dead flowers, the hanging baskets seemed to have been left from the last year. Empty beer barrels were in the drive way, the lights in our corridor and bedroom had blown, we had to use the fire exit and stair well due to 'refurbishments. To top it all when we complained to the owner he was outragiously rude and accused us of being over sensitive and unreasonable. I would not advise my worst enemy to stay there, it is a dump.
