I had a pleasant 4-day stay here while on business in Canterbury. My room was quiet, clean and comfortable, the breakfast quite good (although I always had to flag down the server to ask for more coffee), and the staff pleasant. Food in the evening was just okay, although the pub does run a special with very good prices. The... more

Canterbury is a great town, V interesting lots of restaurants and a lively atmos. Stayed at The Millers Arms. Stayed in a four poster room, a bit tired perhaps but Ok. Tv had no freeview but then there was a big 4 poster and a rather lovely jacuzzi bath which GF liked immensly to entertain us. FILL up the bath... more

This is not a 4 star hotel; it is a charming pub with rooms upstairs. The bedroom (Pardonners Tale) we had was perfectly adequate with a good bathroom ensuite with bath and efficient shower over. We were there during graduation week- the city centre was, at times, crowded and noisy with celebrating students. However, the Millers Arms, although a 10... more

It's hard to say enough good things about this place. The location is as beautiful as I could have hoped for (with a cathedral view from my bedroom window) and the manager, Declan, and staff (mostly college-age young people) are genuinely warm and hospitable. Rooms are small but comfortable and clean and the food is tasty and reasonably priced, especially... more

I was dissappointed with our visit to the Miller's Arms, after reading so many glowing reviews on this website. I had cancelled a booking at another hotel because of the comments about it on this website. We thought the Miller's Arms needed a good clean and was a little rundown, Our room the Miller's tale, which has the four poster... more

On the good side for Miller’s Arms, it is located only minutes from the Cathedral. A parking pass for 24 hours in a fairly close public lot can be purchased for 5 pounds. We arrived and after going into the pub to sign in we were shown to our room upstairs, down a very narrow hallway. Although the carpet and... more

I took my girlfriend here for our anniversary. I wanted to see Canterbury but wanted to make the accomodation quite a big feature of the weekend as well. As it was a romantic weekend, I rang the hotel in advance and they arranged flowers and a bottle of wine in the room for when we arrived - I was grateful... more

The hotel is located very near to station with a very good scenic beauty around. The hotel rooms are clean and the staff very friendly. I would recommed this hotel if you are not planning to spend more or have a plan to stay in 5 star. The rooms are not too big but clean and from some roons you... more

Staying at the Millers Arms you get a real taste of Canterbury - all the rooms are named after the famous Canterbury Tales and are beautifully presented. The staff were very friendly and helpful, while the food was excellent and great value for the quality. Town is barely 5 minutes away, making the hotel in the perfect situation for everyone... more

The Millers Arms is the picture perfect English hotel, beautiful location set by the River, overlooking a lovely garden. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and his staff. The room was a good size with plenty of cupboard and drawer space. Bathroom was beautifully decorated and the shower was fantastic! Breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Had dinner in... more
