I can't say I was very impressed with the level of service offered in this guest house. Firstly breakfast was only served from 7.30 to 8.30, which doesn't offer a lot of flexibility if you are out for a meal or drinks the night before. Aslo checkout time was 10.00 am! which is a bit of a burden if you... more
Spent 4 nights here as I was down in Canterbury watching some cricket. The B and B is handily placed for the city centre-only around 10 minutes away. The room was large with a large TV to match!! The bathroom was OK. Lisa the owner was really friendly and cheerful and was very attentive at breakfast. more
Found this small B&B just right to visit canterbury. We arrived early but were able to leave our car in the car park, after a short walk we were in the city centre. Breakfast was ok, staff polite, room clean, but very warm! more
Myself and a friend spent 2 nights at Ann's House. We had a double room each which was discounted to £40 instead of £45. Could have stayed 3 nights at weekend for price of 2 which would have been good value. Owner/receptionist? called Lisa was very friendly. Beds not so comfortable - some sort of thick plastic mattress protector made... more
We booked this hotel at the last minute for a two night stay in the middle of rainy January, largely because of it being within easy walking distance of the town centre. Having been handed a key at reception we made our own way to our room (no 7) which was very spacious with a 4-poster bed. There was an... more
Ann's House is a lovely building with plenty of parking. We booked for 2 nights. Found the service a bit impersonal. The four poster bed was just that ..four posts, and far too big for the room. Had difficulty moving around. No hand towels provided and only one tea bag! Other members of our party were in another room which... more
We stayed here for 3 nights in mid-July and it was absolutely fine. We arrived on Sunday and were greeted by a friendly and welcoming member of staff who showed us to our room. The room itself was great - 4 poster bed and en-suite. Plenty of space for clothes etc, tea and coffee etc etc. (Room 7) Breakfast was... more
Booked months in advance. Arrived before lunch on appointed day. At 6pm a person arrived to check us in.Taken to attic room which indeed had a fourposter bed of sorts. Room was so small could hardly move in it. Bed was clean as was en-suite rest of room had a few inches of dust everywhere. Thankfully neither my husband nor... more
Late on Sunday night we were warmly welcomed. The room was large ,comfortable and cosy if a little dusty and next morning we were delighted by the breakfast although it was served on strangly small plates. The owner is full of tips and advice on Canterbury and enjoys a chat with the guests. A good very reasonably priced option in... more
