my stay at the grove ferry was an extremely mixed affair. after having an exceptional meal and dealing with a young lad behind the bar who was amazingly accomodating i met the supposed manager (paul). his attitude and drunken behaviour was quite frankly appaulilng. without the staff our stay would have been ruined and for once the management need to... more

All the staff has changed and so had the management recently. And now it has no heart. We spent a Saturday night in this seventeenth century inn. It is in a delighful location, right on the riverside of the Great Stour and has walks from the Inn around the Stodmarsh Nature Reserve.
