Located only a stone’s throw from the Cathedral, the Tudor House could be the archetype for quaint. If you want spacious Holiday Inn accommodation, you won’t be happy here. If you want a feel for what Canterbury might have been like a very long time ago and are prepared for a small room with uneven floors, this is your place.... more

I have led student trips to Canterbury for 15 years and have stayed at the Tudor House since 2000. Just to stay in a 500-year-old house is an amazing thing to begin with; it's older than my country! The former owners, Doris and Colin, were such dear friends, and they have put this quaint and cozy house in the more... more

This is one of the most charming places I have stayed in my 10+ European voyages! It is so quaint, so comfortable, so English! Wonderfully located in the walled city...a 3 minute walk to the cathedral. The hosts were so very hospitable and helpful, making sure our stay was most pleasant. more

If you are looking for something inexpensive 'cause your site seeing this is it... easily within walking distance of everything, parking is not too far away, still inside the wall, full breakfast is in the dining room. All in all, expectedly old, on a quiet street, had wireless internet service and nice staff. One recommendation would be to provide window... more

Staying at Tudor House in Canterbury for a week, I have to say there is much more you can expect in this location. A very friendly staff and a historical but up to date building made our trip to Canterbury relaxed and enjoyable. Perfect location in the heart of the city of Canterbury. We will come back soon. more

I booked almost all the rooms at the Tudor House for guests attending an important Church Service on 20th September 2008 near Canterbury, including Guests from the USA and New Zealand. The owners and staff were fantastic, very friendly and everyone had a great time. I highly recommend this Guest House to anyone visiting Canterbury. more

Stayed at this property last week and was given the 'garden' room. Didn't appreciate that the so-called ensuite was a part of the laundry room and you had to go through the dining room then the laundry room to get to it. It was very basic. The ensuite was dark and had very little ventilation. Great if you're on a... more

I was traveling with a school group and for the first 9 days of the trip had been hearing from one of the tour guides how great Canterbury would be . . . she did not over sell it. The house was very clean, spacious rooms and a lovely backyard. It is central to anything you would want to do... more

My husband and I went on a 6 day trip to Britain and spent 1 night in Canterbury at Tudor Guesthouse. We didn't make any reservations. Just happened to see that this B&B had vacancy (on our way to check out a different B&B) and decided to inquire. Rate was reasonable for the location, 52 pounds/night for a double. Our... more
