Like several others we booked this relatively late AND forgot to look on Trip Adviser. We were only guests on first night (surprise, surprise) yet we were given tiny rooms!! Our group were expected to share a bathroom with inter-communicating doors from both bedrooms!! The twin room had no chair & nowhere to hang clothes. Beds not made, cups not... more

The farmhouse is located near Wingham in Kent and is in a fantastic rural location with some very friendly rare breed pigs (which the kids loved). However, we were sharing a bathroom with at least one other room, there was no soap in the bathroom and the towel wasn't changed for the three days we stayed. Hot water was in... more

I had booked Crockshard Farmhouse B&B to stay over after a wedding because of its convenient location, and a few days before the trip I stumbled across the reviews on this site and began to get worried. However, there wasn't time to find another place to stay, so we duly pitched up, somewhat apprehensively. However, I was pleasantly surprised when... more

Lots of character, warm, friendly owner, some of the beds are worn out, only found one bathroom which was invariably occupied when required, cooked breakfast uninspiring, torch useful to get from guest parking area to house. If you like farmhouse accommodation it is certainly worth one night for the experience. more

On arrival we were taken though a large cold utility room, along a narrow passage passing an area where all the family junk was kept. We were told to go up a steep and narrow, makeshift staicase with a filthy carpet, there was no banister until halfway up and was quite dangerous. The room which my husband and I were... more

This was a last minute booking by my wife who had not done the usual 'TripAdvisor' check. What a mistake!! The location is great for the ports and Canterbury. BUT,the family room was terrible, the linen looks like something that you save for the dogs bed. The bathroom had no hot water and the shower was there in name only. There... more

Will definitely be consulting your website in future before booking accommodation so we can avoid making a mistake like staying at this place. Words fail me as to how horrible it was (the other reviews have covered everything), but, because we were hundreds of miles from home and travelling from Dover the next day, some of our party stayed and... more

I too wish I had read the reviews first. Here is our list of horrors: The pillows stank, as did the towels, one bed was lopsided (by about 3 inches!), the matresses were about 2 inches thin, decades old and smelly, placed on a chipboard, we had to share a bathroom with at least 4 others, there was only a... more

I wish I had checked trip advisor first, but we had left it to the last minute and there was no other accomodation in the area available. What can I say, no warm welcome, in fact decidedly unfriendly, the whole house had a stale odour, the bathroom was shared with the world and his dog and showed how much traffic... more

It hasn't got any better since the last reviewer. We stayed there because we had no where else to go, with all other B & Bs, inns etc being fully booked. The owners are unfriendly. The room was cold and damp. The bathroom had no hot water at the sink and the shower was the most pathetic drizzle of almost... more
