Stayed at the White House, only for one night. Everything about the White House is first class, from the welcome, the room, and the service. Just off the main street, so ideal. Would definitely recommed and we are planning a return trip soon. more

Booked this after reading recommondations from other travellers and have to say it did not disappoint at all. It's a beautiful house and obviously a lot of time and effort has gone into it. Room was very comfortable and a delicious breakfast. Fantastic location minutes from the heart of Canterbury, meant we could leave the car and see everything on... more

Lovely, lovely, lovely. Whatever it takes to get it right, they have it. We felt welcome and spoiled and, like a previous reviewer, didn't want to leave. Room 2, above the front door, was on the small side (which we knew when we booked but it was the only one available) but it had a good sized bathroom, lovely bath,... more

We stayed for one night only (sadly). We had also booked very last moment. After reading all of the previous reviews, we were looking forward to our trip to Caterbury and the Whitehouse very much. I am pleased to say that we were not disappointed. The Whitehouse is tucked away in St Peter's Lane which is very quiet, but literally right... more

Very quiet (we had a room at the back) despite its wonderfully central location, The White House is a lovely place to stay. The owners, Alison and Gary, are very welcoming and helpful; our room was comfortable and elegant; the breakfast - full English - was excellent, freshly prepared to perfection. The only disappointment - and it was a very,... more

We stayed for three nights and felt welcomed from the first minute, Alison and Gary made our stay a pleasure. Breakfast starts at 8 AM, but on our first morning we had to leave before then, no problem Alison said and a continental breakfast was laid on for us. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. Parking was no problem with... more

We have been travelling for a year around the world and came across the White House- definitely world class. The decor and rooms are upmarket and service is superb. We loved Canterbury and the White House is right in the hub. The hosts were divine and the breakfast first class. The little personal touches they had added to the experience.... more

We can not really say much without repeating what the other reviewers have said apart from reiterating that it is a great place to stay. So would have no hesitation in recommending it and we will definately be back again. more

I stayed at the White House in Canterbury for four nights in June. The location is excellent. You just walk around the corner and your on the main street. The rooms are very nice. I chose the double room and there is large bathroom with a powerful shower. There was a bit of noise at night , but not enough... more

The White House is the perfect weekend getaway place; it really is home from home. It is the attention to detail and the sense of care and pride in this B&B that mark it out as different from so many grotty, dingy places I have stayed in! Breakfast was delicious; I was delighted to find that soya milk was available... more
