We stayed at this hotel as we had an early morning pick up by coach very close by. We were two couples each with a double room. Rooms were spacious, warm and clean with tea and coffee making facilities. Dinner was excellent in the downstairs restaurant and were served by a lovely waitress. We left too early for breakfast but... More

Was a little sceptical when I read some of the reviews on other sites, as soon as I walked in the doors at the front all the fears went away. Made to feel very welcome, explained where my room was and given the key for WiFi. When I got to my room I was gobsmacked by the Wonderful view overlooking... More

Stayed 3 nights, good value no frills accommodation. Room spacious though fairly basic, reasonably clean, beds comfortable ,functional rather than luxury but about what you would expect for the price. Breakfast and evening meal fine. Staff very friendly and obliging, would stay again.

As others have said, the exterior of the hotel is not very prepossessing especially around the back. I found the bar area rather dark and gloomy but otherwise the rooms and facilities are fine. Unfortunately I missed dinner as it ended at 2115, but the breakfast was very good (with the possible exception of what I took to be orange... More

We held a 60th Birthday party at the St George. It was a whole day event and the room, catering and staff were excellent and couldn't have provided us with a better service. Roland, the Manager was totyally professional and made some of the mangers of London top hotels look inferior. Rooms are comfortabel and many have good views of... More

We paid the extra for the "Executive Suite", which if I am honest was a nice room, with a big LCD tv and comfy bed, with nice crisp sheets but far from Executive. The bathroom however was huge and had a lovely double ended bath, shower over it, and loads of towels. The view was of "Chatham" and the Medway...they... More

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel, most recent being 4th May 2013, we found the staff very friendly and helpful, in fact the duty manager didn't mind at all that we had to park our car in her spot as our car wouldn't go up the ramp to their car park (this is only because... More

What can I say about this place?! The welcome was less than warm, ice cold in fact. No smile, no information, just handed a pen and paper to check in. That said, the ladies of the night who frequent the street outside the hotel seemed friendly...if lacking most of their teeth! The bar area looked lovely (although there is a... More

Stayed here one night in the 3rd floor and whilst it wasn't my first choice it was clean but very basic. There was a damp smell in the corridor and a similar smell in the room. It's not he biggest room I've ever had and the wet room in the toilet , no bath, was a bit of a hazard.... More

Chose this hotel after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. Stayed for one night with my wife as we were visiting the historic dockyard at Chatham. The staff were friendly and there is a nice bar just past reception where we ended up on Saturday night as there is basically no where else to go in Chatham. The room was OK... More
