We stopped at this place overnight before catching the ferry to go over to France.
Well this place should certainly not be awarded the three AA stars that it is, it is terrible. The location for the ferry in Dover is good but the guest house is awful. When you arrive it is dark and dingy, with wood-chip paper all over, which has so many coats of paint over the years... ugh. The paintings on the walls in hall are the same paintings that Ena Sharples had in her living room in Coronation St in 1962, I am not be facetious, I am being hones, they are shocking!
When we got to our room, I wanted to leave immediately. It was a big room but was filled with a double bed, two singles and a kitchen table right bang in the middle of the room, with four kitchen chairs, all set with a flowery table cloth and tea cups. It was bizarre, to say the least. All the units in the bedroom had bits falling off or the formica chipped off. Drawers didn't close properly etc etc. There were so...
