Stayed for 1 night in September before catching an early morning ferry the next day. Pleasant room and it was great to be able to pay extra to have a garage space for our car overnight. Convenient location for catching the ferry. more

Margaret and John thought of everything for our room which I'd refer to as a basement apt. suite moreover. It has a double bed and 2 single beds. We requested a triple room for 6500 GBP. My expectations were rather low due to some of the "dated decor" reviews but it could not be far from the truth. My first... more

We've stayed in a lot of B & B guest houses in Dover and despaired on finding a good one but this time we did. We can't understand the comments of some reveiwers, If they found a fiver in a drawer they'd complain because it wasn't a tenner. Roll on October when we go there again. Doreen and Colin. Leicester.... more

After the long drive from west Wales Number One was a welcome sight, we have been staying at this Guest House for a number of years and find the owner most helpful. I feel I really must set the record straight re. the room decor. The Guest House is a listed property (as is my own) the rooms decor and... more

It has to be said it's very close to the ferries. But the room itself felt very shabby. We were at the front under the pavement. The decor quite frankly looked as if it had been bought as a job lot for a fiver from the Oxfam shop. The owners are nice enough but the room (and i suspect others)... more

After 35 years in buisness in Dover and with a family history involved in hotels and accommodation going back 3 generations we are somewhat bemused by the terms used to describe one of our rooms. We are sorry the room was not decorated or furnished to your liking but we feel it is in keeping with the period property and...

Excellent location for getting the ferry being only 5 minutes drive fromthe terminal. Also very convenient for walking to nearby restaurants. Very welcoming and helpful when we arrived including availability of a secure garage for the car. Cooked English breakfast was excellent. The room was clean and tidy and just right after a long drive that day and before starting... more

While the B&B is well located and we enjoyed having our own back door to leave and enter our room and having breakfast served in the room (a welcome break after numerous mornings eating breakfast in breakfast rooms), we found the room to be stuffy and very old-fashioned. A redecoration and removal of a few layers of wallpaper, carpet and... more

The room (for 3 adults) is on the basement where you can walk out via a small garden without going through the main door. Although it is not a large room, it is big enough to accommodate 3 single beds with a table for us to have breakfast inside the room. We get full English breakfast. All in all, good... more
