I've stayed at the Swan Hotel twice now, first in Sept. 2006, and in May 2008, both times for 5 nights. I was in a nice single room overlooking the Pantiles, which was perfectly comfortable and attractive, and certainly updated. It was the same room both times, so I can't really comment on the other rooms. But for the price,... more

The hotel's website bears no similarity to the actual place. OK the address is the same but you can't see the sea from the High Street and the excellent menu choice no longer exists. The hotel changed hands 8 months ago but the new owners (now run by Nepalese) have not yet changed the website details. If you like a... more

I stayed here in January 2007, and the only things I can agree with floidybear are 1) The carpark is quite arkward (But Its FREE) and 2) The breakfast was superb ! The room I stayed in overlooked the famous Pantiles in ROYAL Tunbridge wells, it had been refurbished, had a new mattress, curtains, headboard and the waitress at breakfast... more

We recently spent one night at the Swan while attending a wedding in Tunbridge Wells. Our room had a musty smell, the decor was very tatty and faded, drapes around the very rickety four poster bed were dusty and there was quite a lot of noise from surrounding bars and people in the street.
