If you are visiting Tunbridge Wells to wander around on foot this is the perfect location. The hotel is hidden in the middle of a wooded Common area but still right in the centre of town. It is a very pleasant walk through the trees to both the excellent shopping mall and the historic Pantiles. Plenty of free parking and... more

Beautiful building and fantastic location but absolutley let down by the owner who was scruffy, rude and an absolutely awful host/waiter/barman. Clearly has no clue about customer service, manners. Plus he needs to wash and brush his hair and gives his nails a good scrub and cut. Bar could be lovely & romantic but let down by the grotesque flat... more

I really liked this hotel, which is in a really old building, but if you're someone who likes a modern and shiny hotel room, you'll probably hate it. I stayed in a single room, which was a good size, and very comfortable. The bathroom was also a good size. The breakfast was good too. It's not far from the town centre,... more

Just a short weekend break, but this was a great place to stay and so convenient for the town and the historic Pantiles. The quaint old rooms were clean, and with fresh towels each day, It is true the Bathroom was dark, it had a Walnut type panneling, but plenty of light. Supplies of Tea and coffee were always refreshed... more

The location of this hotel is beautiful, surrounded by the common in the centre of Tunbridge Wells however I totally agree with the last review. The hotel is really shabby & dirty, my bathroom was like a dungeon, no windows, walls covered in fake black marble with smelly carpets. It was absolutely dusgusting really, would not reccomend this hotel to... more

Dated and shabby...........would not recommend. The staff were poorly informed. The barman checked me in and was unable to give me any info on Wifi facilities. Led up an old service staircase to the room. Over furnished room with tatty furniture. Carpeted bathrooms with dust around edges.Lether arm chair so old the leather was flaking off. The brocure and web... more

We stayed for 4 nights, absolutely 1st class, the rooms quirky with their undulating floors, but more than spacious for our needs. Television in the rooms - but no "Sky" - but hey - who sits in their hotel room all day. The rooms (including the bathrooms) were cleaned and tidied every day of our stay, there plenty of fresh... more

The hotel is in a great location a short walk into the "sleepy" town of Tunbridge Wells. The hotel is in need of refurbishment. The rooms are dated and desperately lack attention. The bedside lamp was water stained and was quite unsightly when you wake up. There is some charm - the old property with its uneven floors is nice... more

I decided to take a chance on this unreviewed hotel following my terrible hotel experience (Smart & Simple Hotel) when last in Tunbridge Wells a couple of weeks previously... I am so so happy i did... The hotel is located close to town but in the middle of a green area. Lots of parking and the building is just charming.... more
