Avoid. I've stayed in hotels and hostels all over the world and this has been the worst ever on every level... even a 72 hour crossing to Norway in the pump room of a ship was better than this. more

We stayed two nights with a wedding party. There was no one on reception when we arrived but there was a sign saying to go to the bar (which was in a totally different room). Anyone could have walked in and had easy access to the bedrooms. We were asked to pay for our double room up front (£50 per... more

I have recently stayed at this hotel, for 2 nights. After reading the reviews i was very worried, But what a change. All the staff where very helpful and friendley. Well, I have this evening prepared the report for the Health & Safety Executive, here are the basics for all to read: The Dorchester Hotel, Beverley Road, Hull, HU5 2TH On arrival to the hotel was greeted by small reception desk and a lady who ‘normally works in Accounts’ however probably under trained she remained professional and friendly at all... more

The hotel looks like fawlty towers from the outside and a spanish waiter on the inside was probably hiding just round the corner. From the damp smelly sweaty entrance hall to the unkept appearance of the staff this is without a doubt the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. In hindsight, I would have paid more for a park... more

Spent a single night at the Dorchester in Hull. This was a Swallow Hotel, so even though only £50 odd B&B, I was not expecting facilities and service to be as poor as this. Small cramped room, door latch looked to have been smashed in and patched up, grubby bathroom, old towels, a remote controlled TV with no remote, a... more
