Not much to add to all the other excellent reviews except to say that our hosts were more than willing to lend us waterproofs when our own were staturated so we could go for our last lovley walk in the Lakes. Such generosity is rare. Thank you so much for making our visit so pleasurable. more

At a time when big hotels are cutting back on even the basics, Summer Hill have lots of little extras which add up to feelings of being spoiled- from the welcoming tea and cakes on arrival, to the chocolate on the bedside table - and oh what joy! - no nasty little plastic tubs of UHT on the tea tray.... more
