Our trip to Ambleside coincided with a deep fall of snow at the end of March, but this only added to the magical experience of this most wonderful place. George and Val made us very welcome, and our room was perfect for us. Complimentary glass of sherry in the evening before the short walk into the village with its choice... More

Thank you for your kind comments. The snow adds to the experience as you walk in the fells and when you can leave your car at Red Bank the road conditions do not spoil your enjoyment. The log burner in the lounge is probably the best improvement we made at Red Bank to the extent that on the wet days... More

Thanks for your comments and Val and I are always pleased to hear new guests comments. The log burning stove is always a central attraction in the winter and many of our guests spend some relaxing time in front of the stove after their long walks. We look forward to seeing you again in the future. More

We had left it quite late in the day before we decided to stay in Ambleside and how relieved we were when we saw vacancies at Red Bank. We were given a very warm welcome by George and had a laugh because my partners name is also George. We were shown into a lovely clean, spacious en-suite bedroom with a... More

We have stayed at Red Bank a few times and have never been disappointed. Val and George are welcoming hosts and keep a very clean and homely Bed & Breakfast. It is in a very quiet but handy location, near to the centre. We look forward to visiting in 2013. Bridget & John West Yorkshire

With our own off road parking for our residents car parking in Ambleside is not a problem. Hope to see you again in the New Year. More
