Stayed here with my baby boy, the owners are very friendly and we were both made to feel welcome. Rooms are nicely decorated and everything spotless. Breakfast was great as is location. Would definitely recommend. No negatives.

My son , aged 10 , and myself spend 3 nights in Claremont House whilst we were walking the Windermere Way . I would recommend staying here to anyone wanting to spend some time in Ambleside . Good location , rooms very clean , good breakfast . David and Angela made us both feel very welcome .

My wife and I have stayed twice, once in January and again in March. We are particular about cleanliness and location. Nothing negative to say about this b&b and hosts. Confirmed booking by phone, phoned ahead and got advice on where to park plus parking badge to park close. Got some great advice on a couple of good walks. Great tip on going to the fantastic thai restaurant. Room very clean and what you would expect breakfast excellent full english hosts... More
