We (6 adults and 3 children) stayed in Grove Farmhouse and had a fantastic holiday - the 2 lounges meant that one could be used by children and one by adults. Large kitchen, beautiful dining room; ensuite bathrooms... Highly recommended - wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. More

We have just recently returned from a weeks stay at Grove Cottages, we stayed in high grove. It's in a beautiful location not far from Ambleside, which can easily be accessed by car or foot. The cottage itself is warm and cosy with magnificent views from all aspects. The kitchen is very well equipped with all the appropriate amenities that... More

The Grove Farm farmhouse is amazing. Its clean, warm with everything you could need and more. It has a gorgeous country kitchen and wood burners to make it extra cosy. Fantastic size bedrooms (super comfy beds) and bathrooms and an amazing garden which we used in November to watch the sunset over the hills. What a view! Also the service... More

We hired the farmhouse for a birthday celebration. It took a while to find somewhere that could accomodate large groups and rented for the weekend only, but we were glad we found this place! It was slightly further from Ambleside than we thought, coming back from the pub involved a walk uphill in the dark. But when you have a... More

Excellent facilities, well maintained and fantastic views. You feel like you are in the middle of the Lake District. When we first arrived in Ambleside it took a little while to believe the Tom Tom directions and were a little taken back by the lane into the property, however after a couple of trip on the lane it was quite... Everything about our experience at Grove cottage exceeded our expectations. The view was of a beautiful valley with farmland and peaks in the distance. The cottage provided a tranquil break in a busy schedule of hiking and historical attractions. The beds were comfortable, the cottage was very clean, and the staff was very helpful in providing information about the area.... More

We stayed at the Farmhouse on recommendation from a friend who stayed here a few months back. And what a great recommendation it was! The farmhouse is kitted out with absolutely everything you could possibly need for the family, it is cozy and inviting yet still has enough room to accommodate a large group with enough room to ensure everyone... We stayed in the Little Grove. Couldn't wished for more - very cosy, clean, well equipped and in a perfect location. The cottage had loads of very nice, short walks from the doorstep and loads of very nice restaurants 15/20 minute walk away - this all came very handy as it rained the whole week we were there!!! Me and my family have been staying at the Grove Farm since I was a child and were good friends with the farms original owners. It is reassuring to see that it has not changed a great deal over the years and that the new owners continue to preserve the charm and atmosphere that I have so many fond memories... More

We stayed in Middle Cottage. It was charming and white and sunny and just what we wanted. The bed was comfortable and the white linens were beautiful. The kitchen worked great. The washer/dryer combination took forever to finish a load, but we were glad to have it. We had some trouble finding the farm at the top of the lane... More
