Centrally located to provide an excellent selection of walks. The staff are all knowledgable about the area and attractions and always ready to help. Topped off by great food and hospitality, what more could we ask for. more

We stayed in this hotel last weekend and had a truely terribly time. The staff were obnoxoius and rude and the rooms dated and unclean. For the price we were expecting a truelg magical weekend in the lakes but what we found was nothing more than a Blackpool B&B in the mountains. more

Hotel and room were clean. The staff were friendly, and the food was excellent. I'm more used to staying in hotels where all the rooms are the same, but the rustic charm and the open fires made for a nice change! 20 years ago we started staying at this hotel,we have returned 3-4 times every year since.
