Carlsberg don't do Lakeland B&B's, but if they did it then Brantfell would be their "Special Brew". I've been staying there since 1992 and it just gets better and better! No doubt the Best Breakfast in Lakeland, great informal hospitality from the owners Chris & Jane, and following the recent refurb rooms you'd only normally expect in a 4* hotel.... more

Brantfell just gets better and better. Since my last review , they have improved on excellent.....which i didnt think was possible. The refurb has resulted in wonderfully relaxing bedrooms, in warm neutral colours.all have en-siuts with DOUBLE showers.!! soft closing loos,heated towels rails and locally made handwashing liquid on the side..that smells amazing (nice touch). ..the bedrooms have plasma telly... more

Brantell House is a lovely place to stay, in a good location in Ambleside. Jane and Chris are warm, friendly and welcoming hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay enjoyable. It has always been excellent ; the rooms are realy comfortable are spotlessly cleaned to a very high standard. Excellent central location with parking. I stayed there most recently in July 2007, but have stayed there several times before. Very comfortable rooms and cleaned to a very high standard. Good central location. No problems with parking.
