Brantfell just gets better and better. Since my last review , they have improved on excellent.....which i didnt think was possible. The refurb has resulted in wonderfully relaxing bedrooms, in warm neutral colours.all have en-siuts with DOUBLE showers.!! soft closing loos,heated towels rails and locally made handwashing liquid on the side..that smells amazing (nice touch). ..the bedrooms have plasma telly... more

Brantell House is a lovely place to stay, in a good location in Ambleside. Jane and Chris are warm, friendly and welcoming hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them to make your stay enjoyable. I stayed at Brantfell in Aug 2008, but I have stayed there many times before the refirbishment. It has always been excellent ; the rooms are realy comfortable are spotlessly cleaned to a very high standard. Excellent central location with parking. I stayed there most recently in July 2007, but have stayed there several times before. Very comfortable rooms and cleaned to a very high standard. Good central location. No problems with parking.
