Stopped here while on a three day walking holiday. The staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome. The food was great after a long day walking on the hills, it was fresh and they gave us great portions. The room (room 2) was really nice and we enjoyed a really pleasant evening in the inn. Arrived on friday 17th November and were greeted by very friendly people. Shown to lovely, clean, warm room 2. Food was lovely and live music was great. Lightning struck and thunder boomed and snow fell. All added to the wonderful atmosphere of this wonderful inn. Don't listen to the previous comment about the owner. Arrived at the Inn with some fiends. Were greeted by a lovely lady at the bar and were shown to the room. We stayed at this end 20 years ago and had pleasant memories of the good times. Our mood was immediately deflated when the new owner came into the pub. Clealry, he does not like people. Advice - lovely... more

From the moment you walk in the door you are struck by the warm friendly atmospehere. The Kirkstone Pass Inn is the highest public house in the Lake District and provides stunning views. Well worth the visit! more
