Nice location with great sounds from farm life in the adjacent fields, the weather was superb and the hosts were knowledgeable and helpful, especially advising on walks etc. The room was immaculately clean but quite compact (apart from the bathroom which was spacious). We have just returned from a lovely break at West Vale Hotel. The hotel is easy to find and get to, as it's near the car ferry from Windermere. We stayed in the four poster room which had lovely views out over fields with lambs and ducks. We were able to walk from the hotel and also found it quick... more
