We have just returned from our second stay at Easedale Lodge having booked a further stay in a couple of months time. It is probably the best B&B we have ever stayed in - and the only one we have ever returned to. Set in an ideal location in Ambleside, Easedale is a beautiful home from home. The rooms are... more

Ideal location in town but surprisingly quiet and with on site parking. Proprietor couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. The house itself is beautifully appointed in a contemporary style with lots of artwork and craft pieces and quality fabrics everywhere. The bespoke internal doors are a thing of beauty in themselves! We got the last room available which was... more

My husband and I spent two nights at Easedale Lodge during our honeymoon in June visiting UK and France. We actually arrived at the place in a desperate state as we just ruined the rented diesel Audi by putting in gasoline. The car broke down along the way and the AA guy so kindly brought us to Bob's place. We... more

Thank you very much for your kind comments and for taking the time to place the review. We feel that we should make it clear that we do provide free wi-fi internet access for all of our guests and that while some rooms are larger than others they are all finished and furnished to the same standard and do have considerable...

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Easedale lodge in Ambleside,we did not book this ourselves, it was an anniversary present from friends of ours, so we were not sure of what we were going to find when we got there. Easedale lodge is an absolute credit to Bob and Margret who own it,beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean... more

My husband and myself have just returned home after our seventeenth walking holiday in the Lake district. It was also our second stay at Easedale lodge. (could have been our third, but last year there was no room for us). Over the years we have stayed at a lot of B&B's, some of them we've come back to several times.... more

We have stayed at Easedale Lodge now for the past three years, and on every occassion we have seen significant improvements that have been made to the property. The cleanliness of the whole of the guest house is first class, and the quality of the furnishings are superior and very tasteful. Easedale Lodge has parking, this is a real bonus... more

After staying at the Easedale lodge last year, there was no question of me trying one of the many other Guest houses in Ambleside, as none would beat this little gem. Set in the heart of the village, in walking distance of restaurants, pubs, the park... off street parking (valet too if Bob is on hand) the location could not... more

Bob and Margaret are the welcoming hosts of this centrally located b and b. We were treated to good old fashioned country hospitality from the moment we arrived until it was regretfully time for us to leave. Margaret's cooked breakfast alone is worth staying at easedale for! The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms and bathrooms spotless. Bob was... more
