Stayed here for one night and would recommend this Guest House. Rooms were clean, friendly welcome and great breakfast. It is conveniently located in the town for pubs and restaurants and at £50 a night - bargain :-)

Had an excellent short break at Six Castlegate. Very comfy room, excellent tasty breakfast. Had a very friendly welcome. Good local parking facilities that isn't too far away. Would definately recommend

No review can describe how good this place is! You have to see for yourselves. But what i will say,is that Alan and Angela are the perfect hosts,nothing is too much trouble. They were great. Stayed on numerous occasions and standards have never slipped. Can't wait to come back

Rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fruits. The parking is a few meters away from the B&B, but since we didn't have heavy luggage, we didn't find this to be a problem. Cockermouth itself is not a particularly attractive town, but it is very close to some amazing spots in the Lake District.
