The Old Rectory is a charming building and very warm and cosy. The view from the dining room is superb especially with the autumn colours. The welcome from Ann and her staff was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious and thank you for dealing with a special diet so well.

Our room was very comfortable. The food was fantastic. The staff were friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more. The view from the lovely light dining room is glorious - especially with the beautiful autumn colours. This is a wonderful base for exploring the Lakes. We will be back. Anne is such a wonderful host. The cake and tea on arrival is lovely, especially when you have arrived after a long journey. The rooms are lovely and the setting is magnificent. My wife, baby son and I stayed here for the weekend and had a wonderful time. Ann and her time are fantastic hosts. Nothing was too much trouble, even accomodating my 5:30am start on the Sunday. The rooms were great, excellent mattresses(!) and the food was outstanding. Can't wait to return...
