Are Angela and Martin Clark the nicest people in the world? Stay at Banerigg guest house, and discuss! The warmest possible reception in this lovely house on the lake just outside Grasmere village. A short walk into the fabulous Bobbin Bistro restaurant (the best food in the UK?) completes the picture. more

Very welcoming, clean and tidy B&B in a great location just far enough our of Grasmere to be quiet but close enough to walk into the centre with ease. Recommend Villa Colombia for reasonably priced dinner and only 5mins walk away. more

My Fiancé and I very much enjoyed our stay in Banerigg Guest House. The couple who run the place are very friendly and made our stay all the better. They happily let us borrow their canoes for a few hours to paddle around Grasmere Lake. There are also some excellent walks nearby for all levels of ability. The rooms were... more

Friendly owners who can't do enough to help you, great views in the front bedrooms, amazing showers, hearty breakfasts and an excellent location. The only slight downers: the bed was a bit too firm and it's a good 20 minute walk into Grasmere's centre, which is a bit difficult when you're piddled and it's pitch black! Take a torch! more

When you've had a long journey up to the Lake District all you want is a friendly smile...and you definately get it here. Banerigg is a brilliant guest house and well worth a visit. The rooms are lovely and warm with comfy beds. The view is worth every penny...and even though there is a road seperating you and the lake,... more

We have just come back from a three day break from Grasmere in the Lake District, and stayed at the Banerigg Guest House. This was our second visit at this accommodation, and will not be our last; as we really enjoyed ourselves and the hospitality from Angela and Martin is second to none! The rooms are very clean and comfortable... more

We have stayed at Banerigg 3 times now and have already booked visit no.4. Angela and Martin make this the best place you could imagine. The rooms are beautifully clean, the lounge is inviting and cosey with the log fire, the breakfast is just amazing. And what could be better than returning from a long walk to gallons of hot... more

We stayed here last Easter weekend after reading the reviews. The room was fairly small and the ensuite was only seperated by a piece of muslin (door to the toliet tho), so I'm glad I was there with my husband and not on a first weekend away together or similar! Still, the room had a great view of teh lake... more

Just returned from our first stay at Angela and Martin's home and it won't e the last. The reviews sounded too good to be true but they are all spot on. The most welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts you could imagine, the rooms are warm, clean with stunning views and the breakfasts are enough to sustain you all day on... more
