Stayed in Superior Double in April 08. Happy with all female staff. Friendly and attentive esp hardworking Maya. Room could do with a woman`s touch also, as a little ragged around the edges. Damp stains on ceiling and bathroom in need of modern touches. Room not filled with technical wizardry, despite inclusion of DVD player.More like a B and B... more

We stayed for another 4 day break recently. They have made many improvements since last year & also have more staff now. I believe some beds & chairs are also to be replaced very soon. This hotel promises so much from the outside, but on the inside it is a rather sad little place. It's a pity the owners don't throw some decent money at it. We have just returned home from a two night stay at the Forest SIde Hotel. When you get to the top of the winding diveway it simply takes your breath away the house is beautiful and the grounds seem to go on for ever, having said that when we asked about exploring the grounds we were told only the garden... more
