Four of us stayed in a private room for four at mid-July 2008. With the special offer of just £43 per room per night it was really good value of money. But it seems not a good price if you book it over £20 pppn. Good: -Right in the centre of Lake District, it is convenient with only short drive... more

Trying to find accommodation for four in Hawkshead on a holiday weekend was always going to be difficult and when we booked the YHA we werent expecting luxury. The drive through the narrow lake district roads was magic and the YHA is in a fantastic position overlooking the läke but the building is old and shabby and shows no resemblence... more
