Stayed here getting on for a year ago now but as it wasnt listed on tripadvisor I thought I should do something about it.

Came across it by chance as it was one of the few places we rang that actually had any rooms left (It was a bank holiday) so we didnt expect much.

Arriving at the place we new we had chosen well, most of the Lakes are beautiful anyway and this was no exception, but it was the welcome from the owners that really made us feel at home within minutes of arriving that made it stand out from the other places we have stayed in.

The place is great, the rooms nice, the breakfast outstanding (full english!) but it was greater than the sum of its parts. Hard to explain really but in the weekend I was there I felt more relaxed and refreshed than I usually do after a weeks holiday.

If there was any downside it is that there is not a pub/food place within walking distance so a car is probably required.
