We stayed here on the 5th of November 2011 and have a great time. Very welcoming hosts, fantastic location, superb rooms and a delicious breakfast. What more could you ask for? Would 100% recommend More

We have been visiting Buckle Yeat for a number of years, but it never fails to be a wonderfully special experience. Our last visit was in October when we (2 adults, small child and 2 teenagers, and my parents) managed a long weekend away. The drive up to the Lakes was filled with excitement - looking forward to everything the... More

This was my first stay at Buckle Yeat and couldn't agree more with the comments already expressed. This is a little gem, and the genuine warm welcome and care you are given by Robert and Helen is first class .The rooms are spotless with great attention to detail and comfort. Breakfast really sets you up for the day,and the cosy... More

After a lot of research I found this beautiful guest house only a short walk from the home of Beatrix Potter. Set in the little village of Near Sawrey, you couldn't find a better location for a visit to the Lake District. The house itself is quaint and full of character, even illustrated in one of Potter's stories. We had... More

We had seen this accommodation last year and when we decided to return to the lakes intended to stay here. It was such a good decision. Our stay was perfect and I would definitely recommend it to others. It is a quaint B&B and although the rooms are small, they are definitely in keeping with the overall ambiance of the... More

We came across Buckle Yeat by chance, however within a couple of minutes of meeting our host Robert we felt most welcome. The charming ambiance of the converted cottage had attractive furnishings, was clean and had modern en-suite facilities. The breakfasts gave guests a wide choice of food and Helen and the team in the kitchen ensured everything was perfectly... More

We spent two weeks travelling through England and while we enjoyed nearly every minute of our trip, I'd have to say our highlight was our two nights staying at the Buckle Yeat in Near Sawrey. A lovely traditional English bed and breakfast, almost literally a stone's throw from Beatrix Potter's home at Hill Top, the Buckle Yeat features comfortable rooms,... More

Story-book perfect, and literally just around the corner from Beatrix Potter's Cottage and farm, Hill Top, at Near Sawrey. We had 4 nights here - sadly, the weather was not the best for us, but nothing can dim the magnificence of the Lake District. Our room at Buckle Yeat contained very comfortable King size bed, & the tasty breakfast included... More

We, a family of 4 (including 2 kids), stayed at Buckle Yeat for 2 nights in Mid July. Among all the B&Bs we stayed at in the 2 week driving vacation in England, this was clearly the best. Robert and Helen do a wonderful job making the guests feel at home, while providing them the space to do their own... More
