Very easy to miss as you drive by (actually we missed it 2-3 times), but once we got our bearings, and parked across the street, we could tell this would be good! After a very warm welcome, and a chat with the owners, we walked up to the "local" for dinner. The Beechmount room was very nicely furnished, with a... More

My wife and I spent New Year at Beechmount. This was our first visit but definitely not our last! We arrived on the afternoon of the 30th to be greeted by Garry and Denise and immediately were made to feel so welcome. A pot of coffee was immediately produced with a delicious bakewell tart whilst we relaxed after our journey... More

This is the best B&B we have ever stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners Denise & Garry. The house is beautiful, a lovely log fire to sit by ( and we really enjoyed it as we had constant rain) We watched how well children were accommodated and would recommend this place for anyone of any age. Happened upon this marvellous place by chance - while waiting for our time slot to visit Hill Top Farm. Only stayed for tea in the Summer House. Will definitely consider staying here next time round. The garden is just marvellous. The atmosphere really tranquil - was very reluctant to leave. My daughter had a wonderful time taking pictures of all... More

We love the Lake District and have been searching for a place to stay since we have had children - now we have found it! We received a warm and friendly welcome and a much appreciated drink in the lovely garden on arrival. The interior is really nicely decorated and both the larger rooms have nice views over the countryside.... More

We were greeted with coffee and cake which was a lovely welcome and gave a very good impression. Beautiful views of the lake from our room. We had the freedom of having the house and garden to ourselves - what a gorgeous garden and picturesque summer house! The icing on the cake has to be meeting the two westies, Jock... More

We stayed here for a few days in June having booked on the strength of Tripadvisor reviews and were not disappointed. Gary and Denise were wonderful caring hosts and nothing was too much trouble including washing and ironing our clothes! We stayed in the Esthwaite room which had its own cosy sitting room and a breathtaking view of the lake... More

We stayed at the beautiful Potters Cottage for a week and it was absolutely lovely. The "cottage" is a ground floor apartment which has a separate entrance but is part of the main house. It has a lovely modern bathroom with underfloor heating - a great shower but no bath. The kitchen is well appointed with dishwasher and washing machine.... More

What a wonderful place. A tiny piece of paradise nestled in the small town of Hawkshead. Pristine grounds with a fab view. The house is filled with elegant furniture with 3 guest rooms. Extremely clean & tidy. Breakfast is everything one could ask for setting you up for the day. I was apprehensive about going as I had an accident... More

Despite the showers and drizzle, we loved our three day stay here. It was so peaceful and quiet - waking up every morning to the glorious view over the lake was a joy. We were surrounded by birdsong and bleating lambs. We were able to take several walks from the door of the B&B through the beautiful countryside. We stayed... More
