I am belatedly posting my review. My Mum and I stayed here on our Dales Way walk back in July. It was one of the highlights of our walking trip. Putting the postcode in google is misleading in terms of identifying exactly where the house is - it is a little way up the busy A6 from the Dales Way. But we were lucky enough to be spotted by the house owner on our way up and before we followed google's misleading directions, so got a lift to the door. And what a welcome - great facilities, friendly without being too intrusive, decor wonderful and as we were walkers, we were treated to a delicious home cooked meal. Would have liked a longer stay but the rest of our walk beckoned - and a lovely finishing touch was a lift back the next morning to pick up the Dales Way where we had left it the evening before. more
