We stayed for a long weekend with children aged 5 and 8. Nigel and Jo who own Hillside are very welcoming and extremely accommodating. Nigel and Joanne made us very welcome, our room was lovely, prettily decorated and lovely and warm. We had a lovely breakfast with adequate choice. Kendal is a nice town but as we only stayed one night on our way to Scotland we can't comment further. more

We only stayed one night but appreciated its position above the town centre and its convenience. If you want an unpretentious but comfortable stay in Kendal I can't imagine doing any better. more
