We have stayed at the Heaves many times over the last 12 years. We love it, our family love it and our friends love it. The rooms are fantastic. The owners are wonderful and the food is really nice. We return year after year and are never disappointed. Yes, it's shabby chic, but it's all the better for it!

There is something about ‘having seen better days’ that pervades the whole hotel. Rickety furniture, creaking floorboards, dodgy plumbing – but clean enough.
