Stayed at the Appletrees over the May bank holiday weekend and really enjoyed it. We enjoyed our weekend break at Appletrees. The views over the lake were stunning. Our room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with a good size en-suite. The location was fantastic but apart from that appletrres was really disappointing. The room was large enough but not really clean. Breakfast had plenty of choice but the quality was poor. Nothing has made appletrees stand out from any other guest house we stayed in the lakes. i doubt that we will be back! more

On our 3-week, 9-city tour of Britain, Appletrees was the only place where I left a little disappointed. Our room was on the lakeside and had a nice view, but that's about the only good thing I can say about it. The bed was futon-like, with only a cheap bedspread for a covering, no sheet or duvet.
