It was hard to find, and I ended up bumping into an employee of YHA in a parking lot in Keswick, who directed me out into the countryside south of the town.
The house, a Georgian home, sits across from a lake and has a large field in front, so it is set back from the road. The kitchen was basic, but the hostel offered cooked meals and sold local beer, which was greatly appreciated.
Somewhere in the house, one of the dorm rooms supposedly had an original Adams fireplace, but I didn't see it.
The people staying at the hostel were largely backpackers and Brits on hiking or bike trips.
