The visit to Maple bank last year was so enjoyable that a return trip was inevitable. The accomodation was originally chosen for the country feel avoiding the crowds and car parking problems of Keswick town centre with ease of access to the main road. Its close proximity to the A66 concerned me before booking first time around but traffic noise is not a problem in the evening and night as the road quietens down dramatically. This well maintained house has a typical lakeland frontage befitting to the area with well kept grounds, nicely decorated rooms and appropriate furniture. The room was of a reasonable size with views of two aspects which included some of the lakeland fells. Apart from the usual hostess tray, clock and TV, there was also a hairdryer and fan available for guests use.
