Traditional bed and breakfast beckons you at Uzzicar. We took the room without the en suite. The bathroom was right next door, complete with a lovelyl cast iron bath and masses of hot water, loved it! The room is country style, the bed's fine, there's storage galore, but the best thing is the view - it's awesome! There's a great pub just 15/20 mins walk over the fields. The B&B is simply wonderful old-farmhouse style. The breakfast superb (in a traditional farmohouse sitting-room with a little library of books. We went up Skiddaw the difficult route and the brekkie kept us going. Lyn's a great host. Highly recommended for the B&B seeker. Lovely gardens and simplicty and total quiet! It's not a five star hotel, just a good honest, clean and lovely B&B. It's a gem to us. Price £27.50 each per night.
