We stayed in the new style 4 bed executive lodges for 3 nights in November 09 in the Seven pines area. There was a group of 16 of us so we chose to pay the extra money to be that bit more central and so we could guarantee our lodges would be next door to one another. The rooms each... more

We loved this holiday and will be going back. My boyfriend had been before with his family but it was my first time. I was worried that we wouldn't enjoy it as much as it was half term but despite that we loved every minute. We ate out every night. Cafe Rouge on our first night, then Yangs then Huck's... more

Just got back from a weekend break at Whinfell Forest. Overall we had a lovely time and really enjoyed our stay. On arrival it took about half an hour to be seen at the arrivals lodge. Parking was fairly easy and I would say that the car park is well set out, apart from they could do with marking out... more

I am a frequent visitor to Whinfell Forest and usually come on a midweek break. This weekend trip (for my birthday) was booked just 3 months ago immediately after our last visit. Firstly, I am disappointed CenterParcs have changed their loyalty scheme. You used to get a substantial re-booking discount which was a percentage of the accommodation cost. Now it... more

We had a very enjoyable midweek break in this Centre Park. It was the 1st time we had been & I would certainly recommend it to families with young children. The accomodation was lovely, well designed & spacious(new style woodland cottage) and we hired bikes which was reasonably expensive but well worth it. Spent most of our days in the... more

I would like to challenge the bad reviews on Center Parc Whinfell Forest. We have just returned from a great holiday, we stayed in a Woodland Lodge in Badger Wood. The accommodation was just fantastic very clean and modern, the bathroom and en suite shower were brand new and gleaming! Staff at the parc were very helpful and attentive, giving... more

Booking The Centre Parcs website was easy to use and find accommodation that would be suitable. You just select your preferences and it thinks about it for a minute and spills out some suitable lodges in various price brackets. We initially booked a Comfort lodge, however, after speaking to some people we upgraded to the newer Woodland lodges for an... more

We went outside of the school holidays, so it was fairly quiet. Most people seemed to be young couples and young families with toddlers or babies. I imagine it's a very different experience with lots of teenagers about! Whinfell Forest is a plantation pine forest and has the feel of a large continental campsite without the tents. We stayed in... more

Some of the things people are moaning about completely astound/disgust me! I have just returned from the most incredibly trip to Whinfell Forest and would do it all again in a heartbeat. We stayed in a Lakeside Apartment which was perfect, very spacious and clean and the maid service was excellent. The pool was completely fab with the slides being... more
