If you want friendly on a whole new level, this is for you. Cosy log burners, great bar with real ale and excellent selection of whisky. Great pub food, well priced wine and very, very friendly. The owners are extremely friendly, as are the staff and locals. Comfortable rooms. To sum up, In three words - friendly, cute, quirky

A great week walking in the Lakes with friends. We used the Strickland Arms as our base. Ideal location for the northern Lakes. Accommodation in the yurt excellent, plenty of room , hot shower, breakfast excellent, very comfortable, will stay there again. Great location for the lakes, people very friendly. Could not do enough to make our stay comfortable.
