Well we think the title to this review says it all really. Thankfully my husband and I only had to pay for one nights accommodation for our two night stay as the first night was paid for using Tesco Clubcard points which was a relief as we would have complained about our stay if not. Highly recommended. Good bedrooms, staff all highly trained, food fantastic. The only quibble is that clientele tend to be slightly elderly so there is little socialising with other guests in the evening as they have all gone to bed! Agree with another reviewer that gardens could look better, but this is only cosmetic and wouldn't stop us staying again. more

The room was lovely, spacious and quiet. The Staff were excellent. Breakfast and Dinner were outstanding, although Dinner dishes are not overly substantial and you do need 3 courses if you had a long day of hill walking. The quality of the Menu was very high. The gardens are beautiful. more
