We happened upon this little gem whilst touring the English Lake District. Setin spectacular scenery and yet only 2 mile from the A66 Penrith-Cockermouth road. All the food is made from scratch including desserts to die for, we had a most enjoyable meal, at the same price as other local establishments who serve cook chill food they buy in. They... more

Having run away from a terrible pub near Grasmere it was a joy to arrive at the Mill Inn, Mungrisdale [--] . Run by the owners who really care, it is a cosy inn with comfortable rooms, amazing views, impecable customer service and superb cumbrian food- all hand made, all local and great value they specialise in pies and you... more
