Compared to last year, the décor in this Travelodge is much improved. Although a couple of maintenance issues remained in the room, everything was spotlessly clean, quiet and comfortable. The Little Chef on site is also entirely adequate, with reasonable prices and helpful staff.

Taking part in a JOhn O'Groats to Lands End ride we chose this hotel and its linked Little Chef as a stop over point. For its purpose the rooms were good and the staff were very welcoming and helpful. I would not hesitate to recommend to others planning this route.

A favourite stop to walk around Ullswater. Returned recently to find rooms upgraded &refurbished. Comfy new beds to good standard once again. Staff both friendly and helpful. We found it a very pleasant stay including a walk from Pooley Bridge to Glenridding taking the steamer back in 7 or so hours -try it!

Felt rather uncertain that I was making the right choice after reading mixed reviews of this Travelodge, but chose it for the convenient location as we wanted to break our journey from the south of England to Scotland.
