We have stayed here many times, and would recommend it to anyone, however particular they may be. The hotel is small, and intimate yet without being intrusive. My brother in law ordered a custom built guitar from Fylde guitars of Penrith and decided to make a trip of it so we stayed overnight as their guests at the Temple Sowerby House Hotel. Unfortunately, we were not aware of any problems with heating and hot water at the time of the guests' stay or we would have resolved the issue immediately. I'm delighted they still enjoyed their stay, despite the hiccups, and we regret the inconvenience. If 'Cooder2' would like to come and stay again I'm confident they would enjoy Temple Sowerby House...

Situated in the Eden Valley, this is a delightful, relatively undiscovered hotel, offering a wonderful homely atmosphere. It's just off the A66 trunk road which links Penrith to Appleby and it's easy to miss.
