Pleasant enough welcome on arrival, although the owner had apparently forgotten on receiving the booking that he was due out early the next morning, necessitating an early departure. Very cramped and dated single room, compensated by the airy and pleasant bathroom - although this did not have a fixed or enclosed shower, a surprise and dissapointment. Family room 3 lacking in character and is cramped. Poor ensuite facility with hand held shower over bath and little hot water for 1 use. Heating went off soon after arrival. Poor tv reception. A friendly stay in a nice enough place. Well worth a visit if you are passing through Penrith. Built on lovely gardens and excellently maintained it feels like home from home. Service was fantastic with a personal touch. more
