Briardene is very close to the Windermere shops and a short drive to the Lake. We stayed in the Attic room which was nice ..but watch your head if you are tall. The breakfasts were great with extensive options you could select from for the next morning covering cereal, fruit, cooked breakfasts, porridge and so much more.. a meal to... more

We stayed here in November 2006 for 3 nights and absolutely loved it. The room was spotlessly clean and there was a nice feel about the whole place. One of the cleanest b & b's I have ever seen! Good location (Windermere station around a 5-10 minute walk), good food, rooms had all the amenities, David and Sam were so welcoming - everything was so good about it! Stayed here with my partner for two nights Friday and Saturday. Room was very comfortable with a super king size bed. Owners were very helpful in advising on somewhere to eat before we arrived. Very flexible on arrival times. Very friendly couple. The highlight of the stay was undoubtedly the breakfast, fantastic choice of options and freshly cooked and plentiful.... more
