Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Just returned from a great family week break with our two year old daughter. She loved everything about it. Joseph in the entertainment team really went above and beyond to make Rylee enjoy her first time at White Cross Bay. Messy play and build a bear among some of the activities she loved as-well as the kids disco. Ellie on the bar was very good and managed to rectify any missing orders from the food and drink app. Will definitely be returning. Lovely clean park and super family break.

Your paying for the location - we had a stunning lodge spotlessly clean in a very quiet part of the park it had everything we needed plus loads more plenty pots pans glasses plates you could have baked cakes with everything we had in the kitchen we had Netflix YouTube Wi-Fi plenty outdoor seating towels provided as well all in all excellent we had a very enjoyable stay the down side is the shop is quite poor and parking is limited so keep this in mind if you bring more than one car they could do to up date the club house as it’s looking dated but the food and service was brilliant - this is an ideal base with good transport links on hand - we will be back to explore the area more

Shannon and Joseph did a great job at entertaining the kids at the disco. My boys had a great time. Been to this & Falbarrow park a few times a year but starting to gravitate to White Cross Bay because of the kids entertainment. Will be back again later down the year. Maybe we'll try Limefitt, then we would have tried all 3 from Parkdean at the lakes

Arrived to find we’d been allocated a lodge (Ambleside 82) up around 20 steps, 6 stone steps with loose stones on the wall at the side and no hand rail then 13 steep wooden steps to the decking, booked direct with Parkdean and no mention of this during booking. We managed but worth considering if you have mobility issues or small children. Lodge looked lovely and nice view over the lake, but had a few issues. The whole road had no lights, not much fun trying to negotiate the steep steps in the pitch black, I did report this to reception twice but nothing was done, down right dangerous. Staying out of season and work being done on around the site, picked up a number of screws from the allocated parking and road around the lodge but thankful no flat tyre, again reported to reception. The site was okay, internet terrible, didn’t eat so can’t comment on food. Having tried both sites I prefer Fallbarrow due to the location and view over the lake.

The lodge was clean and well equipped, bowness 61. The verandah was very small, and very little space between lodges. Very crowded to me. The internet wasn’t good, very poor, I am glad we didn’t have teenagers with us or we’d have been going home again. The pool was lovely, and spa and steam room. BUT it wasn’t open when we arrived on the Monday , I was really looking forward to going in the spa when we arrived, so was disappointed. We ate there one night, the food was fine, just chain pub stuff , but they called last orders at nine thirty, when there were still people in and drinking, which was not great. I don’t think I’d go here again, I’d pick Fallbarrow simply because it’s nearer the town, walking distance, so more food and drink options in the evenings. It was OK, but just OK. The weather was appalling but that’s just one of those things.

Relaxing family holiday.lovely location lovely accommodation could see straight to the lake from the veranda, accommodation spacious and was easy to relax Drinks in restaurant quite expensive but to be expected I suppose. Little boy enjoyed swimming, little amusement arcade is ok but little ones can soon get bored in there Overall lovely holiday and would definitely return

The resort was beautifully located, the accommodation was exceptionally. The only down fall of this holiday was it was planned for a fishing getaway due to it being by the lake. We found you cannot access the lake at all even after driving miles due to people owning the land around it and it being private property. After speaking to a few residents they told us even though anyone is allowed to fish on the lake you cannot access it unless you travel for miles and miles. If I had known this I wouldn’t have picked this location for fishing. The resort was a lovely place to stay though but it could do with the broadband being updated as the signal is very low and couldn’t be accessed. Overall I would recommend this beautiful place.
