We stayed at this 'place' on a romantic trip to Windemere. First impressions were not good. The check - in / bar was dated and a strange smell lingered. On a day trip with my wife and 4 kids to the Lake District we stopped off in Windermere. A beautiful picturesque place. stopped here at the weekend , it was all vey very nice , nice big leather chairs , and very warm , must have had CAVITY insalation. so pleased have booked up again in six months more

“Check out by 10am - we were gone before 9am ...”

The Frommers guide said "Bedrooms are a bit smallish but reasonably comfortable". This turned out to be a bit of an understatement - our double room was 2.5m by 2.5m and nothing like the picture on the website.
