We visited the Lake District to check out places to get married on a budget and the Beech Hill Hotel was the first place we saw and we fell in love with the beautiful gardens and views beyond. We stayed at the hotel a few months before the wedding, we had a lake view double room, which we found were... More

My partner & I have just come back from a "dream" 2 night break at The Beech Hill in Windermere, which we purchased through KGB Deals at £109 for the 2 nights B & B, I upgraded to a Select plus room for the luxury of a King Size bed. However, it wasn't until the 2nd day when my partner... More

We book through Travelzoo on a voucher deal paying £238 for two nights - Double Select Room, Breakfast, Wine in room, afternoon tea and 5 course meal each day. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I think we were lucky with our room allocation (room 73, select double, recently refurbished, large with a bay window overlooking the lake). The actual hotel looks... More

We booked the day before, dinner bed and breakfast in a superior room for £129 (special rate as it's january and mid-week). Arrived at 12.30pm for a 2pm check in and was told the room was not ready so we drove into Windermere for lunch. A lot of the shops and restaurants were either closed for winter break or didn't... Thank you for taking the time to post your review. I was pleased to read that you enjoyed your stay with us. I was of course sorry that you felt your room was small, I do however think this is a matter of opinion as our Select rooms have plenty of space as well as a seating area in the... More

Went with two other couples on a travel zoo deal which included dinner bed & breakfast with cream tea. Rooms were comfortable, with lovely view of Lake Windermere, and very quiet, had a great nights sleep.. Food was good. Staff were very friendly. Overall good value for money. More

my wife and I have just spent a. lovely weekend at the Beech Hotel. it is set in a wonderful location a couple of miles outside Windermere overlooking erlooking the lake. our only concern was the standard of the room we were allocated, down 2 flights of stairs to a room that was at best average. small bathroom, paper peeling... Stayed at this hotel recently just for one night but would certainly stay for longer next time. All the staff from reception to bar to restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. The room, with a lakeside view was really comfortable and spotlessly clean. The bar area and lounge are very comfortably furnished and a wonderful place to enjoy the superb... More

I booked this via Last Minute so got it half price. The hotel is in an amazing setting overlooking the lake. You can tell that in it's hayday it would have been really upmarket and popular but it seems like over the years they've not invested in updating it. Our room was lovely, it had been newly refurbished and had... More

Spent 2 nights there with my husband and loved every second! The room was nice, partly refurbished, with view of the lake. The bar area was good, quite vibrant, with very friendly staff. We also made use of the heated pool, very clean and pleasant. We had an evening meal in their restaurant too and the food was superb. 10... More

Looked on last minute.com and for two people for one night and was priced at £228 a night so must be amazing hey! We pulled outside, surely they sell paint in Cumbria, it looked awful, old decrepit. U have to walk up 40 stairs just to get to reception. It is honestly like the hotel the shining, no atmosphere. Went... More

This is a very strange review and I have requested that Trip Advisor remove it from the site. This is the kind of thing that really lets this site down, we had no record of the customer being booked in at the hotel and indeed it doesn’t give a true representation of a guest experience. I can’t understand how someone... More
