Well, this is it, Perfect setting, perfect food, great staff and the best wine! I have been visiting the Lake District on a regular basis but had never tried the Holbeck Ghyll before.
Holbeck Ghyll is one of those restaurants that you never realise is there unless you are staying or it’s recommendation.
It is charming with exceptional attention to detail. Lovely country house feel, but most importantly amazing food. The Chef combines the very best of French & English cuisine with the very best of ingredients and serves everything to perfection.
I was recommended this place by the hotel we were staying in locally on several occasions, previously we had tried to book however it was always full, this time the hotel manageress booked for all 6 of us & arranged transport.
